Leather Strip, Constanze Zikos

ABOUT THE PIECE

A million times magnified, a million mouths percolate into incalculable numbers in the homes of the isolated, living in the great spaces. The old world will hear this familiar  infinite  sound, embroidering the curtain of the new world. Nations irresistibly welcome the ceremony, bonding them as tumult reaches the streets, with strength and courage, observing and walking in this holy way. Song, honour temporarily relinquishes the pattern pressed by centuries of experience. Complex, a self-righteous presentation of faith. This comparatively recent addition, is introduced, ready and smoothly fitted for service.
