When bringing the exhibition online we wanted to explore how we could use VR spaces to create a more immersive way to experience the pieces. We worked with 3D Designer and Animator Blair Burke to scan a handful of the exhibition pieces to feature in a VR browser based experience.

Creative Producer Nirmala Shome developed the scene.

This experience does not contain all the pieces and images chosen for scanning were based on pieces that were best suited to the 3D scanning process.

Click the link and enter the VR gallery. You can enter via your phone or computer and navigate around the space your your mouse and keyboard, or pan via phone. The VR gallery is inspired by the sugar cane fields of Far North Queensland. You can wander around and see the 3D sculptures as well as video and print pieces on display.
